Labor Zionism is destroying the Jewish people by destroying the state of Israel. The process nears its terminus: the iron gates are in view. If all the aspects of this perennial regime are not expelled, the remnants of Jewish sovereignty will be buried in a “New Middle East” patrolled by blue helmets and thickly punctuated by jihadist assaults. Jews in a semi-autonomous IDF, ruled by NME commanders will continue to bleed for the destruction of the Jewish promise, land, and dream of redemption (cf. psalm 126).

The Israeli wedge for the NME is the Olmert-Peres-Peretz regime and its enforcing affiliate in the self-perpetuating Hellenist Supreme Court. A politicized General Staff, neutered of its Judaism, weaned from victory and conscripted into expelling Jews from their home (a key facet of NME - Global Security State business) is the third leg of this suicidal troika.

Labor Zionism is destroying the Jewish people. This has been going on since they seized the Hagana from Jabotinsky and imposed upon it the suicidal doctrine of havlaga (Jewish “self-restraint” after Arab attacks on Jews). Even a short summary of Labor’s perfidy is beyond the scope of this essay. Merely note that they cooperated with the British in imposing a quota system on Jewish immigration from the late 1920s till the White Paper of 1939; that even then undermined and sabotaged attempts for large scale rescue of Europe’s Jews to Israel. They vilified and sabotaged those who sought to throw out the British and open the shores to Jews; they undermined the liberation of all of Jerusalem in 1948; they sank the Altalena, its state-saving cargo of armaments and self-sacrificing crew of Jewish patriots; they failed to complete the military victories of 1967 and then failed to assert Jewish sovereignty throughout the Promised Land. They despised the desirable land and the Temple Mount. They refused to preempt the Yom Kippur war and then led the nation toward grief and melancholy rather than toward redemption and renewed spirit. Always their main fight was to retain their death grip on the state. Their notorious internecine treacheries, their financial, military, judicial and political scandals all are legion; their affiliations with various global NGO’s and foreign diplomats are chilling. They undermined Begin at Camp David; in May 1981 they leaked and almost destroyed the bombing of Osirak and the 1982 invasion of Lebanon; they saved the PLO for Oslo which fractured Israel into terrorist enclaves now metastasizing into the Road Map and a NATO-protected Islamic state in Judea and Samaria that already promises to shower the coastal plain with rockets.

Labor Zionism is destroying the Jewish people by destroying the State of Israel. Jews all over the world will feel our few decades of pride and relative security melt back into the fear and low profile that had characterized the exile for millennia. Attacks like those in Seattle, and outbursts like that of Mel Gibson, already echoed in Islamic State media from Egypt to Pakistan will increase. Few Jews, perhaps not even those who have turned coat will be truly safe.

A useful measure of the damage done to Israel by its failure to fight and win this war may be understood from the comments in Egypt’s main, government-sponsored daily paper, Al-Ahram. Egyptian Mufti Sheikh Dr. Ali Gum’a expressed support for Hezbollah and fingered Israel as “the Hebrew entity that is the true and hideous face of the blood-suckers… who prepare [Passover] matzos from human blood“(August 07, memri.org). This is the respect and peace that Israel bought by surrendering the Sinai peninsula and all the other unilateral surrenders from Area A, to southern Lebanon, to Gush Katif, to the most recent obeisance to the “International Community”: they have inflamed the blood libel. They have returned Jews to the status of dhimmis, cringing and defenseless, begging genocidal enemies for peace instead of fighting till victory…

Secularists-materialists treasure their own political power over everything. Such people never own their mistakes; repentance is what they do to those who expose their lies. Thus Labor Zionism excels at blaming others for the failures that inevitably result from their spurning of their heritage. The settlers, the truest Jews there are have been vilified for problems caused by Labor’s havlaga, multi-cultural Arabism, and sinat hinam. And now the finger-pointing and scape-goating of middle echelon military and civil officials begins in response to the Olmert-Peres disaster, the limp and purposely bungled response to Iran’s attack on Israel via Hezbollah. The politically neutered IDF was further hamstrung and the resulting chaotic response to Hezbollah has been noted and already is being commented on by Islamic states and their paramilitary groups. The Chief of Staff gained his position by commanding the expulsion of Jews from Gush Katif and thus facilitating and abetting the Hamas war on south Israel and smuggling of rockets to Judea and Samaria, the penultimate death-note of Israel. He certainly will not help ameliorate this chronic and, if not excised, fatal dynamic. Even now he is concerned with protecting his status and blaming others.

As we have noted before, nothing constructive or life-affirming for Jews will arise from the regime of Cossacks that carried out the pogrom at Amona. For decades the malignant Mr. Peres has been working the international connections committed to aborting a Jewish state and burying Judaism and its holy sites beneath a New World Order. Jews will continue to supply cannon-fodder and technological prowess for a global security state committed to erasing their identity and soul-saving way of life. Any one in the Knesset not vigorously demanding the resignation of this government of national defeat and disaster has revealed themselves to be part of the existential wound that must be cauterized this month if Israel is to survive. 

Some Jews, especially well-connected ones may think that serving the Global Security State will assure their safety. They would do well to clear the arrogance and self-centeredness from their expectations: all Jews are disposable to this New Secular Order. Hellenist Jews may pride themselves on eating shrimp but even the top few quislings are not essential, not even now: certainly not next year. A master will always find new tools to serve his turn. What is necessary is that they remain tools, — slaves.

As a great teacher wrote, “God will win the war because of the simple people… and not the sophisticated.” When the storm comes, and indeed it is raging, “the ministers will scatter in all directions, leaving the king in great danger.” But the simple settlers will take the King in, blessing him with “the sweetest and most pleasurable experience.” The settler, who is the Moshe of our generation, “will take the king home in his wagon and he will set Him on his throne.”

This is the only way Redemption will come, sooner or later. The simple people, the high holy ones, the Kedoshim will reestablish the throne of the King and His human king in Jerusalem and the entire Land will be settled, inhabited.

The people must go out into the street in great numbers, greater than the August 2005 rallies for Gush Katif and demand strict justice and banishment for those who brought Hamas upon Israel, and gave pride and victory to the Hitler in Iran. An eminently winnable war was made a disgrace, a confession of ineptitude, and an invitation to more attacks which already are being demanded by the jihadists. They see and scent very clearly the servility of the morons, bunglers and quislings that have a chokehold on Israel.

There has never been peace in Lebanon. Since the end of the northern kingdom of ancient Israel it has been a place from which Jews are attacked: Fatah-land, Hamas-land, Hezbollah land. There will be no peace for Israel until southern Lebanon, the territories of Asher and Zebulon are settled and ruled and defended by Jews. The same is true of Gush Katif – Gerar. One does not need the Scriptures to demonstrate this. It has been shown before the eyes of everyone everyday since the Egyptian invasion of 1948…

The same approach applies to Judea and Samaria, the heartland of the Jewish people and their most ancient settlements. If they allow “faithless shepherds” to spurn their birthright the void will be filled by Hamas, foreign soldiers and alien gods. The banner of Israel must be raised in the face of the nations, as it is written.

In the era of terror, the time of the ‘War on Terror’ and the global security state we return to ancient days: “the earth has become corrupt before God, v’atimalei ha’aretz Hamas, and the earth teems with violence.” The flood of Hamas surges over the earth, mal’ah ha’aretz Hamas (Genesis 6:11-13). Again violence is a tool of “the sons of the powers” and the children of Israel are caught between the world’s two dominant forms of lust and violence.

Rabbi Nachman writes that “before the Messiah comes, there will be flood, a flood of immorality and atheism. It will cover all the high mountains even in the Holy Land… it will affect even virtuous hearts.

“There will be no way to combat this with sophistication. All the royal ministers will be scattered, and the entire kingdom will not be firm on its foundation. The only ones who will uphold it will be the simple Jews who recite psalms with sincerity” and who act to see that the betrayers and collaborators of Hamas be swept out of the land they sought to drown in their perfidy and whirlpools of lies.

And then the simple Jews will place the crown on the deliverer’s head. Israel will settle in its place, the Temple will be built, and the nations will know that there is a God in Israel. The Jewish people must begin this work; it is almost too late to stem the flood.

The situation in which Israel finds itself is not new; it is but a particularly vivid example of its position in the world, and not only since 1948 or 1920. Edom and Ishmael for millennia have acted to slander, pillage, and murder Jews “saying, ‘come, let us blot them out from nationhood that Israel’s name not be remembered anymore” (psalm 83).

As the psalmist states explicitly, this covenant against God’s people, whether it is de facto or explicit as in the Euro-Arab Dialog (see Eurabia by Bat Yeor), at the UN and in many bilateral military agreements is in fact a covenant against the Almighty. “For Hashem’s portion is His people: Jacob is the measure of His inheritance” (Deuteronomy 32:8).

I have read that a favorite tehillim (psalm) of Rav Avraham Yitzhak Kook reflects the position of Israel today and for millennia: “Judge me, God, and fight on my behalf against a merciless nation” (psalm 43); and that the Rav would sing this tehillim with an especially sweet and soulful intonation.

He must be singing this prayer in the heavens these days, a small but crucial part of his service in the eternity of the World to Come…

Israel the land and the people has been attacked yet again, is being warred on by merciless nations, Ishmaelites armed, equipped, often trained by the nations of Edom that also handle most of the diplomatic apologetics and justification for Islam, even though it is their mortal foe. Such is the hatred of Esau for Israel that the past century consists largely of their re-ignition of global jihad and its direction against the Jewish people. Both of these ancient adversaries are merciless to Jews and howl when there is even a very limited Jewish military response to wholesale rocket attacks on cities of Israel. “Your enemies howl like dogs around the city…”

They continue to expect that Jews accept almost any punishment or assaults without striking back. This is the ‘just get into the cattle cars and stop complaining’ model that we thought had reached its horrid nadir in the shoah.

Alas, the “humanist” nations of the post-Scriptural West seem never to tire of re-formulating this demand. Having been attacked for decades, indeed for centuries, from single murders or young hitchhikers or infants, to mass bombings at restaurants or Passover seders to showers of rockets Israel is lectured that it must never “escalate the cycle of violence,” that is, “Jews, — don’t dare strike back and strike fear that deters into your foes. We want you to be attacked again.” This is the de facto and obvious message every time an order is received from the State Department or EU to “relax the checkpoints” that prevent Arab drive-by shootings and bombings; or to give yet more land to jihadist enemies who pillage and murder Jews, dispossessing them from the Promised Land.

This is why the war against Israel does not end; this is why the nations conspire with cowardly Israeli elites to produce governments that comply with the road maps to Israel’s extinction.

In order to find and enjoy peace, IsraeI must declare and wage all-out war on these merciless nations. “Just as they show no mercy to you, so you shall show no mercy to them.” And the definitive code of Jewish law, the shulchan Aruch states, “When they are gathering to attack you, kill them first!” It now is plain to the entire world that Syria, Iran and their militias have gathered (indeed they often boast of it) not only to attack but to utterly destroy the nation of Israel.

“Kill them first!”

The wicked nation that murdered the young hitchhiker, Eliahu Asheri, the grandma and little grandson in Tzfat, the nation of homicidal savages that murdered Koby Mandel and his friend near their homes in Tekoa must be obliterated without mercy as David HaMelekh teaches in psalm 18.

“I pursued my foes and overtook them and returned not till they were destroyed. I struck them down and they could not rise… I cut them down, I poured them out like mud in the streets…”

That is the pattern for Israel when it goes to war against those who gather against it. Destroy them till they cannot rise and then there will be peace. Then and only then will Israel enjoy the blessings of peace…

King David is our greatest teacher on how to create the conditions in which the teachings of Moshe and the Holy One’s commandments can flourish. Destroy the enemy nations. This indeed is how Moshe instructed Joshua: “be strong and of good courage.” And as Joshua and Caleb called out to the entire House of Israel regarding their enemies in the Promised Land: “Those people are like bread for us,” now as then. “Let us go up and conquer for we surely can do it!”

Every rocket that falls on Israel demonstrates the bad faith of the Israeli government, its failure to fully fight and win the wars of the Jewish people “against the wicked nations” that afflict it. The war most be won and total victory achieved in order for peace to reign. 

Having stopped for gasoline Saturday evening (after taking out another mortgage to finance the fuel and groceries), while forking over my ‘franklins’ I heard a female BBC newsperson battering an Israeli official� about the deaths of some “Palestinians” in Gaza. The poor fellow was sputtering, backing up, straining for justifications which could not come because he stayed within the corral of leftist categories of thought� and� ‘peace process’� slogans which sandbag Israel every time. He painted himself into a corner much as the badly-led state has done for decades.�

As I listened to the nasty and predictable exchange I thought, ‘rubbish and damnation! No need to apologize to anyone, least of all a Brit when discussing collateral damage during war,’ and war is what jihadists have been doing to Jews for six years, shooting rockets within the� borders of pre-1967 Israel.�

(Actually, the war – jihad– is approaching fourteen centuries but let’s stick to the narrow definition for now. And the simple answer to it is milchemet mitzvah, but in this piece we will limit ourselves to the language of the nations).�

No need to review the evidence that the so-called ‘Palestinians” are a hostile population that plots to murder Jews in Israel (and elsewhere) and frequently asserts its intention of annihilating it. Indeed the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state is the published goal of both Fatah and Hamas. (Remember when Fatah was denoted the military wing of Arafat’s PLO? Now it’s been re-named as the moderate alternative). In any case, all these assertions of annihilating Israel are declarations of war and during war a hostile population is subject to attack; their death, whether unintended or targeted is part of the rules.�

People who style themselves humanitarians may say that this is cruel: they tend to forget about those initially attacked, or targeted for attack in future, especially when they are Jews. The larger point is that if you don’t want to get killed, don’t war on other people. Don’t shoot rockets across the border into their towns; don’t kidnap and murder their children; don’t bomb seders on Pesach; don’t� send homicide bombers into their eating places and busses. Even Jews eventually strike back and defend themselves, although the “world community,” cloistered in Manhattan frequently considers motions to withdraw from them this ‘right.’�

If the world community and the jihadists and bankers that constitute and control it were a little less eager to exterminate Jews the regime in Jerusalem might� help them make it a virtual reality: that after all is their job. But the bloodlust of both the jihadists and western diplomats makes them stumble over their shoes, repeatedly. So the grand game gets dragged out.�

Given the restrictions under which the entire IDF operates when striking back against Arabs (thanks to eight decades of Labor ‘Zionism’ and their suicidal principle of havlaga, Jewish self-restraint), and given initial studies from the field, those much-ballyhooed deaths on July 08 were not the result of IAF weaponry. Too bad; and this is what anyone should tell the BBC or� other regurgitators of the� official ‘truth.’ Too bad,� just consider…�

DRESDEN: It’s March 1945 and Dresden is a scarcely fortified city in east-central Germany a few weeks before the end of the war in Europe. The British decided it was time for payback for the blitz of 1940 which was so helpful to Churchill in strengthening the British will to fight and win (it was not there before the war). So they fire-bombed Dresden and basically melted it, slaughtering about 200,000 civilians. Marshal of the RAF at that time, Sir Arthur T. ‘Bomber’ Harris was a tireless exponent of “strategic area bombing�? (including mass civilian deaths) to defeat an enemy. The British idea of an apology for this tactic was to build a statue to Harris in 1992 on the centenary of his birth. When German politicians voiced criticisms, the British told them to stuff it.�

Tell that to the BBC and Jack Straw: end of story.�

Moreover, the British government and its institutions were major accomplices of the Germans in effecting the ‘final solution’ to the Jewish problem. From 1920 -48� the dominant groups in the British Foreign Office and eventually the media and military totally perverted their League of Nations Mandate to re-establish the Jewish national home and facilitate Jewish immigration into it. Instead, with the war looming and abundant testimony, inter alia, from the Peel Commission about the slaughter impending for the Jews by 1939 the British finished re-defining Jewish immigration to Eretz Israel as “illegal�? while facilitating immigration of the Arabs that by the 1960s began to be called the “Palestinians.�? Yes, the British to this day can’t get their fill of creating new Islamic nations to stir the pot of global jihad. Their institutions including the BBC still want to ‘solve’ the new world order’s ‘Jewish problem’ and have enlisted America and the “peace processes�? to finish the job.�

While the British were facilitating, in many ways the German mass murder of Jews of Europe, they also, in tandem with the USAF spent the last two – plus years of the War bombing Germany 24/7, nonstop. About the only sites they failed to bomb were extermination centers and crematoria like those at Auschwitz even though they bombed extensively in Silesia including within the boundaries of Auschwitz itself. So the British bombed civilian populations daily for years during WW II even though the Germans had no intentions of exterminating the British as the Muslims have for exterminating the Jews, — read it in their sermons, speeches or Koran.�

So the British are on very thin ice when criticizing Israel for any attack, of any magnitude retaliating for Arab assaults on Jews. It’s calculated hypocrisy that distracts from the historical record of British complicity in the shoah… and distracts from what they’re trying to do to Jews in Israel now.�

The best answer to all such criticism from the “world community” is to unleash the IAF, protect the lives of Jewish soldiers, and to obliterate the hostile population in Gaza and in their terror-haven cities in Judea and Samaria. This would bring peace, about the last thing the silk hats or jihadists want. After all, you can’t manage (and milk) a crisis unless you’ve got a crisis to manage.�

And furthermore in regard to British hypocrisy about� Israel’s response to hostile populations:�

A� check of the consensus mainstream opinions about the practice of strategic (not accidental) bombing of hostile populations and their infrastructure reveals that Israel indeed, after six years of absorbing rocket attacks north and south and suffering repeated mass murder of its civilians� should change course and employ wide-ranging area bombing of hostile populations centers, utilities, etc. This would align it with mainstream views on area bombing.�

Here is what Wikipedia, the generic internet reflection of received opinion has to say about RAF Commander, Marshal Sir Arthur Travers “Bomber” Harris, architect, advocate and commander in chief of the massive ‘carpet bombing’ of Germany during the last two years (two years!) of World War II:�

“Harris’ preference for strategic area bombing over strategic precision bombing remains controversial during the last year of the war [presumably it was not controversial — in the official view – during the first half of 1944, the peak production time of Auschwitz]� because by this time most Allied commanders thought it less effective than precision bombing…”�

So, the primary reason for criticism of “carpet bombing” of hostile cities was that, “by the last year of the war it was less effective,�? not more cruel than “precision bombing.” To continue:�

“Others were critical about the large number of [resulting] civilian casualties�? [but not so critical as to stop the tactic].�

Here’s the clinching point for unleashing the IAF:�

“Nevertheless, in a conflict where attacks on civilian targets had not only been initiated by the enemy but also a largely acceptable aspect of total war [interesting judgment], this strategy was coherent and certainly dealt great damage to the axis.”�

So, despite qualms about the degree of effectiveness or pleasantness of� carpet bombing it is a “coherent”� strategy that “dealt great damage” to the enemy, the last but not least conclusion of the entry.�

Israel and Israelis listen up: the jihadist enemy initiated slaughter of Jews almost fourteen centuries ago and has accelerated that practice in recent decades, adding ever more refined and damaging technology to the murder of Jewish civilians. Contemporary political rhetoric and apologetics are irrelevant and distractions for, as just noted, murders, both wholesale and local of Jews by Muslims long predated the founding of Israel. Therefore, in the course of this interminable war of annihilation (dwarfing the minuscule duration of WW II), carpet bombing of the hostile enemy population and everything it has is a “coherent” and “largely acceptable” practice that “certainly [will] deal great damage” to the jihadists. It could thus save the West from its own elites…�

IAF, bombs away, and tell the British the strategy of Sir Arthur Harris is your inspiration, that and national survival which Britain could not plead from 1943 -45 when their survival was not in doubt. By the way, the British put up the statue to Harris in the Strand near St. Clement Dane’s Church, in 1992, the year the Manchurian, that is, the Oslo candidates were elected to finish off the Brits job…. It continues to this day.�

The Israeli army has been inching its way into the Gaza Strip for about eight days, ostensibly in response to the kidnapping of Corporal Gilad Shalit. Kidnapping is a misnomer and the tip-toe incursion is not mainly about rescuing him, as will be explained below. But the name of the Operation, “Summer Rains�? is pure pr genius: soft, gentle, it sounds like a fabric softener which is basically its relation to the harsh reality of the war waged by global jihad. It’s named to please western spinners and consumers of news by conjuring up images of a moisturizing soap or other emollient.

Alas, the clever, only-too-apt name will not save Corporal Shalit, Sderot, Ashkelon or neighboring towns; it will not bring justice to Eliahu Asheri or the thousands of others like him. Rather, it will teach the jihadists even more contempt for Israel and Israelis thus resulting in more frequent and more horrible attacks. And then………

Summer Rains is meant to be an open-ended series of graduated phases because it is not meant to end or succeed in its ostensible mission. No; it is yet another part of the endless war of attrition which the American-Israeli diplomatic elites have long been deploying, through various means, against the Jewish people in their Land. Barring regime change, by or before a catastrophic terror strike, this is the future in store: more and more places in Israel (and throughout the world) are going to look and live like Sderot.

It’s not a pretty picture.

Here are the true purposes of Operation Summer Rains:

1): To save by saving the face of the elites that cripple Jewish settlement, viability, identity and pride; to save the Barak – Peres – Olmert regime that rules in accordance with the global vision of Foggy Bottom, Brussels and the Vatican.

This is the most immediate but not the main reason for the incursion into Gaza, so notable for the bombing of empty fields and empty offices. The main reason is, 2) to save the Road Map that the Israeli regime exists to execute. They are helped and held in place by the overt and covert maneuvers of the State Department and CIA and by various forms of economic blackmail and bribery.

Repeat: the main reason for the incursion in Gaza in to save the Road Map toward the expulsion of Jews from Judea and Samaria, for starters. We will come back to this main goal.

The third reason, 3) is to save the client regimes in Cairo and Amman, the regimes of President-for-life Mubarak and Prince Abdullah of trans-Jordan who are buttressed and programmed mainly by Washington (with assistance from the client regime in Jerusalem and from Europe) in order to keep the Road Map in place by insuring that jihadist pressure is channeled toward Israel and the Jews.

If the forces of global jihad become too powerful too soon it could lead to the fall of these client regimes and complicate the clearly laid rails of the Road Map to ghettoizing and decimating Jews. We will come back to this too; its feasibility is intricately linked to that of the preceding two purposes…

4) The least important purpose by far, the ‘for public consumption’ pretext for the entire charade is to retrieve Corporal Shalit. If he is not retrieved the client regime in Jerusalem will lose a lot of face and, with it, its ability to maintain its chokehold on the Jewish people in Israel (and elsewhere). So they’d like to get him out although their slavish adherence to the Camp David – Oslo – Road Map to Israel’s constriction is what put him and all other Jews in Israel in daily risk of their lives in the first place.

Here’s one of those junctures where the internal contradictions and de facto impossibility of the Road Map and the new world order become apparent.

If the regime truly gave a hoot about Jewish life the Road Map (and Oslo) would have been rejected out of hand as the suicidal and treasonous games that they are. Eliahu Asheri and thousands of other Jews like him were murdered or maimed because of what Oslo did to Israel, fragmenting it into a congeries of terrorist havens and small terror states. Those who did it and still defend its full implementation are fully responsible for everything that has ensued.

The good and bad news is that these goals of Summer Rains, of the Barak –Peres clique and of the global grand-gamers in Foggy Bottom, White Hall and Brussels are mutually contradictory. The Operation is a paper tiger emollient because the terrorists must not be dispirited by a major counter blow. They must not be dispirited or decimated because their relentless murderous pressure is needed to provide the rationale for Israel’s ruling elite to continue expelling Jews from ever larger portions of the Promised Land per the Road Map.

Also, not dealing them a crushing blow in Gaza keeps them and the hostile population that harbors and largely supports them from fleeing to Egypt. This they in fact had begun to do when Israel’s tanks arrived, but they were halted in their flight by reassurances of the Israeli government and the familiar limpness of its ‘military response’ to terror.

After all, Washington’s puppet regime does not want the Jews of Gush Katif to go back and rebuild their beautiful communities; Washington and its clients do not want a flourishing and sovereign Jewish Israel established in its land. They can’t manage the crisis without a crisis to manage. Thus the bloody game continues.

However, by failing to significantly decimate the jihadists, the Israeli regime and its string-pullers in Washington have led the former to become more defiant and aggressive, increasing their threat not only to Jews in Israel but to the stability of the client regimes in Cairo and Amman. Mubarak and Abdullah are looking at the abyss and they know it, but the contradictions in Washington’s policy have created an irresolvable dilemma for all concerned.

As a result, as bitter a failure and a joke as Operation Summer Rains has been to date, the agenda of Washington and its main puppet has locked it into a context where unintended consequences will force Israel closer to regime change and, dare we say it, victory. The terrorists that are the West’s weapon of choice for bludgeoning Israel into abject servility (Olmert is the poster boy for this condition) grow ever more emboldened and increasingly a threat to the client states in Cairo, Jerusalem and Amman. The puppet governments in all places are in great jeopardy and a major change in Israel’ governance and orientation toward the world and its birthright grows closer with the catastrophic terror attack that successive administrations have all but insured.

The end game being played by the globalists is untenable and self-negating, and the above is an empirical explanation of how their scheme is doomed for attempting to trump the Divine plan for Israel. Their impressive and bloody magic trick, imposed by enormous and varied pressures is coming apart. Soon the emperor’s raw nakedness will be exposed so even most leftists will see it. What a bitter shame that it will take a tragedy of immense proportions to reveal the obvious and malicious facts.

Two potential bright spots: 1) recognition that Corporal Shalit is a P.O.W. and must be treated according to the Geneva Convention stipulations. If he is harmed in anyway the entire enemy apparatus, — jihadist leaders, cadres and hostile population becomes responsible and must pay the physical price. Applying this legal and moral standard would help expose what Islamic jihad means and seeks. 2) For reasons of personal and professional pride the General Staff of the IDF, increasingly disgusted by the indecision and limpness of the current government, and the danger into which it has put the IDF may decide it’s had enough of being a dishrag for the politicians and judges. With power comes responsibility and it is in this Israeli institution where a major change is possible and needed.

Perhaps the humiliated pride, if not a sense of brotherhood at the top echelons in the IDF will prompt them to act to save their honor and, thus, indirectly the Jewish people before a disaster strikes. To achieve this salvation, the enemy must be named, destroyed and victory achieved. Then Israel will settle in its place, proud and beyond doubts and critics. There is no peace without integrity and wholeness (shleimyut) and no wholeness without victory. It is in sight. Where is the will to choose honor and sovereignty?

I’ll invoke the metaphor of an articulate Israeli who was expelled last summer with her family from Atzmona. For the centuries since Jews began gathering in great numbers back to the Promised Land Israel has been like a man waking up from a coma. Such a person is not fully in control of himself or their destiny and in their confusion can hurt themself badly.

The reborn state exhibits just such behavior. Much of this, — autocratic governing structures, disastrous economic and social policies that suppress Jewish initiative and encourage dependency and fatalism — can be chalked up to socialist attitudes and habits which gained a new virulence in post-modernism or “post-Zionism” as the hostility for history, roots and national self-respect is termed in Israel.

But some of the self-destructive behavior also reflects the necessary healing process and re-orientation of a nation long banished from the land that gave it its integrity, identity and clarity about its mission. Socialism (like many other aspects of Hellenism) is a sign of the disorientation of an Israel still bearing the burdensome hurts of exile.

The IDF ‘offensive’ in Gaza is a largescale example of the continuing dominance of galut reflexes. This “major operation,” ostensibly triggered by the kidnapping of soldier Gilad Shalit and the entirely predictable attack on the tank position near Kerem Shalom in its first five days exacted the life of one terrorist. That is not a ‘major’ anything; that, ladies and gentlemen is a farce that reflects the timidity and self-contempt at the top of Israel’s ruling echelons, especially the current administration which is “tired of being brave.” How painfully obvious is this half-truth: when were these toadies, these lickspittles of Washington ever brave?

Indeed, so limp, so dangerously inert is the IDF’s move, so limited and minimalist its use of air power that Chief of Staff General Dan Halutz, the destroyer of Gush Katif (not exactly a nationalist) reportedly told out-of-their-depth Defense Minister Amir Peretz and PM Olmert that they either sanction a genuine offensive and attrition of terrorists or that they let him withdraw the IDF entirely from Gaza. When politically correct officers express dismay at the situation one knows how fully damaging it is, how dangerous a precedent it underscores: that Israel threatens, making a show for media who as usual trumpet Israeli ‘aggression’ but does little. The message: you can kidnap and even kill Jewish hitchhikers and soldiers without fear of a major counterpunch. The galut-leftist rulers of Israel speak loudly but will wield only a little, empty stick…

Sure enough, the limp-along, gasoline-wasting exercize of the IDF has elicited a characteristic response from the jihadists who see that the entire operation is yet another made-for-the-media Israeli joke (a bitter joke on the IDF and people of Israel). So the terrorists are issuing ultimatums and outrageous demands (free 1000 terrorist Jew-killing wannabe’s or else). This occurs in the vaccuum where Israel’s own stern, non-negotiable demand should have been ever since the kidnapping (as I wrote a week ago): return soldier Shalit by tomorrow morning or else face the total elimination of jihadist cadres here and in Syria and Lebanon. With every hour of delay, the IDF and IAF especially should exact a more and more severe price. The murder of Eliayahu Asheri should have added to the immediate ‘costs’ for the jihadists of their attacks and public denunciations of Israel, their plans to eradicate it.

But no, Galut Judaism wins out again and so long as it does the Arab demands, like poverty in the attic, will grow more outrageously out-sized. Even today the government of Egypt, whose president the pressure on Hamas is in part designed to save, is running anti-Semitic diatribes on its state TV. Nothing new there; that’s the problem, — a problem Israel could fix if it had the will and right leadership.

Another dispiriting development was the announcement by a group of Rabbonim that in response to kidnappings and attempted kidnappings by terrorists that Jews should stop hitchhiking. Here’s the familiar galut logic: they attack us, we should become invisible, — stay inside the ghetto or, maybe, move to America. This is counsel from Israel’s ‘teachers,’ G-d help us.

To those who threaten and/or attack Jews the teaching, a teaching of pidyon shvuyim is massive preemption and ensuing deterrence leading to the only kind of peace the Arabs understand: being cowed into a semblance of non-violence. Strike them down, ten thousand for every Jew they kill and there will be a cessation of killing; then, and not until then….

The victory for Israel involves reclaiming the land from the ground up. The march by several hundred young Israelis from Elon Moreh and its environs to Tapuach, Eli, Shiloh, Shvut Rachel until Kol Tzion, arranging their own protection is the way to demonstrate the true-to-the-Land identity of the Jewish people. It also is the best and original way to lay claim to the inheritance: “arise and walk the land, for to you I will give it.”

So two steps, no, many steps back, but also one collective great step forward for national redemption. Walk the land; visit every town in Yehuda and the Shomron and when this is done we will in good time see retribution on the wicked…
