The Game and the Choice: 1939-2009

The children of Israel know that seventy years is a sign of exile’s duration, and that today, such is progress, exile can be within the land: just as there were client regimes of Babylon and Egypt in late First Temple times, so new Empires and puppets now.

Today also the nation of Israel must choose whether to continue to endure a client regime that demolishes Jewish dwellings and defends itself only with ‘permission a la Shushan,’ permission of a foreign king or to be a free people in the land, the only way a Jew can be a Jew. But few today grasp the resonance of yashar and shaleim, as Jacob was when he returned to Shechem.

Do not presume an identity in the dates in the subtitle: it is the pattern that is the same and the importance in the delineated time frame. To appreciate the pattern, consider the following lines:

“The choice was now between being dragged along in the British game of ‘Arab riots’ and ‘outbreaks’ [intifadas] or crossing to the front, to war with the British regime.” The odds grow steeper as Jews shy from the choice: an overextended, vicious but dying British Empire, which now cloaks itself in NATO, multiculturalism and globalism has become, via this game, the “Quartet” which truly is a sextet including the British Empire and Rome, as we have explained. Attend, please, the “special envoy” of the “Quartet” and his unique status as a bridging figure for the wicked kingdom.

Back then, “the Jewish Agency wished with all its soul to continue the game, with more Round Table conferences, renewed bargaining, new MacDonald letters – anything to avoid the waters of the Rubicon for which their entire spiritual, mental and organizational structure were unprepared. The White Paper [of 1939, essentially banning Jewish aliyah to and settlement of Israel] afforded the Irgun Zvai Leumi great potential.”

So in the decades after the great failure of 1967, when the battle was lost and won and fair and foul utterly confounded by the great refusal, the powers of Esau have brought to increasingly higher levels their ancient role of inciting Ishmael to murder Yitzhak and Ya’akov so that the adherents of mercy, peace and above all, “law” can self-righteously haul off Ishmael to International Tribunals for doing precisely what Esau has urged and enabled them to do, all the while piously shedding tears of “pity,” building ever more holocaust memorials and beating its transvestite’s chicken breast about the road map to peace and the new world order, the ancient wet dream of the evil kingdom.

Back then: “if the organized Yishuv establishment does not declare war, the historical initiative will pass to the non-establishment IZL.” If only things were so simple today; see the above comments on deterioration when compromises and client status, with their great perks and ‘cover’ for a few, are chosen. “Had that happened, all the developments which began in the years 5702-03 (1942-3) could have begun then, in 5699 [1939): the split, then a united rebellion – then the point of no retreat – and finally, victory,” a true victory for integrity, not a ‘for public consumption’ victory and spurning of the birthright as in 1967.

The stakes of the failure, of the hegemony of the collaborative foces, now funded to the hilt and polished with perfect correctness by the dazzle machine of the media would not have struck the deep roots as they have, spreading the gloom of a poison tree over the blessed land and uprooting Jews, here, there: the writing on the wall is only too clear.

United rebellion, no retreat, and then victory; “this process, had it only been started a few years earlier [in 1939] would have benefited from the awesome rear-guard of the Underground, the reserves of tens of thousands of Betarim, the reserves of millions of Polish Jews, and the only possible result would of necessity have been a shining Kingdom in the entire homeland instead of pieces of a people in pieces of a land in the shadow of a State.

“We were however, too late,” Eldad continues and proceeds to sketch the costs, week by week through the bitterly partial victories cemented in spring 1949.[1]

Too late; that seems also to be the motto, let us not say the epitaph of the Jewish people in our day, the day of the Road Map and its kinder, gentler final solution to the problem that the fantastic fiction of Esau the imposter always will have with the existence of a sovereign Israel. Esau who like a pig piously thrusts forth its paws, for peace and the purity of its intentions.

Hear these words: let those strong in body and soul go up to the hill tops and settle, all of them; let the servants of the establishment reject the foul food of the sub-contractor’s perks and Israel yet will sail through this storm of “the West’s” disintegration and remain an intact, resilient, strong body of discernment while the gigantic fiction fades away on the fume of its arrogance.

The First Tithe is a seminal text for understanding the State of Israel. It reads like great fiction and is history at its most revealing, nuanced, exhilarating and heart-breaking.
