Prophet, Hater, Crisis

We will postpone speaking of a prominent media hater of Jews to speak of a great prophet and lover of the Jewish people, someone whose courage matched his brilliance and whose realized vision would bring the world “community” the peace it claims to desire.

That first Passover four English goyim stood guard at the Kotel, their laughing faces reflecting our degradation; Arab filth above, the Kotel deep below the impudent expansive mocking Mosque.
The cluster of confused, crushed Jews in tallit crouched against the stones; behind them Arab pollution; to their side, four goyim from a distant island, above a magnificent Ishmaelite Temple….all our shame comes together here. The Kotel absorbs the weeping of all the exiles, the human weeping and the divine weeping.

The Utility of “Cast Lead”

Late in December, the rulers of Israel began belated attacks on Hamas munitions dumps and command centers in the Gaza Strip. Government leaders had been signaling the attacks for weeks as the Israeli election campaign cranked into gear. Operation “Cast Lead,” which some pundits have foolishly termed, “the Hanukkah War” has several goals none of which is the re-establishment of Jewish towns, farms, prosperity and sovereignty in the area which, when ruled by Arabs has been a source of ceaseless attacks on Jews since 1947.

Before itemizing the purposes of the to-date minor military action let us note that in its entirety it is part of the dialectic of managed attrition that the great powers and their proxies have used to whittle down Jews, the Jewish State (promised, betrayed and achieved), and Judaism, its wholeness and holiest sites for almost nine decades. In this dialectic, Hamas or Hizbollah, Fatah, Iran, the PLO, the U.A.R. (Egypt and Syria) is the genocidal thesis, aided with arms and apologetics by the powers; Israel, whether it defends itself a lot, a little or not at all is the antithesis and in all cases the synthesis is a “New Middle East” a.k.a. an Arab Federation in which Israel is submerged [1].
