Heroes, Villains and a POW

How does one serve global masters? First, act always as if they have legitimate power over you: your survival is their business. Never demand what belongs to you; never take what is yours.

What belongs to Israel? Its entire land and Gilad Shalit, the POW whose return from Hamas should have been demanded thirty months ago as a precondition for any peace from the armed might of Israel. While Israel trucks hundreds of tons of food daily to those trying to exterminate Jews, while its medical establishment insanely treats Arab sick and wounded, the International Red Cross and other international ’humanitarian’ groups have shown their disinterest in Shalit’s life and freedom. “Ceasefires” are for Jew-killers to re-arm to finish the work of the global powers: attrition and submersion of Israel. Jews are not human; they do not have “humanitarian crises.”

At the juncture where the client regime’s internal contradictions are exposed it unilaterally yields Israel’s claims, and soldier Shalit so that team Barack will not need to impose one, openly, and spoil their party; these things are done more subtly; suspending loan guarantees, hinted threats, ‘friendly’ conversations at Sharm el Sheikh or Jerusalem or whereever as Rusanov describes in The Cancer WardMore...

This latest unilateral ceasefire, with a heritage going back to July 1948 is the work of an Anglo-American client state described with painful, brilliant accuracy sixty years ago by one of the heroes referenced in this essay’s title, Israel Eldad.

We will let his eloquence describe some notable villains and accomplices shortly. They  speak or write phrases like “the weak hold of religion upon the racially and mentally confused Hebrews of that time” of Kings David and Solomon. Was the writer a Nazi — well, he was a prominent Briton and widely-read author; a proponent of disarmament, a global police force and “peace.” He gives no evidence for his derisive comment, this excuse for “eugenicists” to go to work on the Jews; but he, peace lover that he is was troubled by David’s farewell instructions to Solomon about safeguarding his throne. It is alright for Europeans, Chinese, Muslims and others forever murdering each other’s entire families and neighboring nations in the tens of millions but when a couple of long-delayed executions of traitors are carried out in ancient Israel it shows that the Jews are “racially and mentally deranged.” It sounds like a harmonic of UN rhetoric on “the peace process.”

The writer doesn’t mention David’s tehillim (psalms) though they certainly disprove the “mental confusion” Herbert G. Wells so often displays, for example, in his belief that the “socialist world collective” he championed for decades would be “liberal” and catalyze free thought and innovation even while controlled by a “world brain” of about fifteen million   ‘educrats.’ Used to inventing history in his fables, Wells wrote that the united kingdom of Israel under David was a protectorate of Hiram of Tyre [1]. Why not? When an English internationalist writes ex cathedra he need not prove bizarre assumptions or  glance at contrary evidence from historians, like Tacitus or Josephus, of ancient Israel and Rome who had detailed information on the issues he addresses in order to minimize Israel and its history per British policy since 1920 and counting.

Thus while Josephus describes the 5-7 million inhabitants of what now is Israel west and east of the Jordan River and Tacitus grumbles about how numerous the Jews are “because they cherish each of their offspring from a desire to outnumber us” he spitefully claims, ignoring Jewish attitudes toward life’s essential divine source, Wells asserts that the land “has itself neither the area, the agricultural possibilities, nor the mineral wealth to be important: the story of its people [is just] a commentary to the greater civilizations to the north and south and of the sea peoples to the west” [2]. And just today Delek discovered another vast natural gas field off Haifa? Perhaps this one, like the one found off Gerar about eight years ago will be given to Britain and one of its designated Middle Eastern Arab assitants.

In any case, Wells could not bother to consult actual botanists or geologists of his day, whether the works of Aaron Aaronsohn or the economic-diplomatic analysis of anti-Jewish State imperial commonwealth man, Alfred Lord Milner; as an accomplished fabulist Wells simply whisked away, in the grand English style the facts of Jewish sovereignty, economic productivity, past and present, its cultural eminence and, many would say, pre-eminence. What mattered to Wells was what mattered to pro-Aryan theosophist, Alice Bailey and to colonialists of land and theology, Constantine, Augustine, Benedict since, “the fundamentally scattered nature of Jewry from the beginning,” and if they were not scattered, Rome or its successor states would scatter them while reviling them for being scattered and burning them for being “obstinately monotheistic” and not accepting the preposterous composite text and precepts of “the religion of mercy.” Thus for Wells, while “Jews have persisted as a people” it is the Greeks, “Hellenism [that] has become a universal light for mankind,” at least as it is seen from the Olympus of a widely-read or university-bred English ‘mind’ [3]. Maybe he should have given further thought to the dead-end of Hellenism as displayed in the later plays of Euripides.

Those interested in history, knowledge and facts should study the works of Dr. K.A. Kitchen Master Professor of Egyptology, Classics and the Ancient Middle East who dismisses of the works of imperial dilletantes like Wells and factually challenged” pseudo-intellectual poseurs who inflicted the “Documentary Hypothesis” on generations of students and teachers, remaining a dogma to this day.*   

I quote and discuss Wells to contextualize the widespread pseudo-scientific biases by which “the West” has sought since its fabulist inception to disenfranchise and degrade the Jews. The great scientist Aaron Aaronsohn offered the chairmanship of Botany at the University of California after two meetings with T. E. Lawrence (Chapman) defined him as “a ‘scientific’ Prussian anti-Semite who expresses himself in English…he hates us openly,” Aaronsohn added; “fundamentally, he is of the missionary breed” [4].  

It was not just socialist, “world collective” enthusiasts, Biblical deconstructionists or arrogant anti-Semitic cranks like “Lawrence” (he changed his last name because of family irregularities) but major players in the English imperial system like Milner, Lionel Curtis, author of Civitas Dei (Augustine updated) discussing a world federation led by England and organized by “liberal Christian ideas” or Philip Kerr (Lord Lothian) who were fierce opponents of national sovereignty especially that of the Jews whose integrated way of life critiques all pretensions to human power, or to re-shape and rule creation by manmade ideologies such as Bolshevism or what the English call their unique idea of “freedom” that via the dialectics of leading eugenicist Julian Huxley among others derived from Hegel and Marx is destroying the world’s economy, undermining restraints on bureaucratic power and championing the ‘benefits’ of a depopulated planet [5]. 

The British idea of freedom was shown by Prince Harry giving the “Heil Hitler” salute in his Nazi uniform, an atrocity for which his official spokesperson angrily declined to make a clear apology, perhaps because of guilty anger about Britain’s role in the shoah. How very different was the contrition from St. James Palace after Harry used some offensive terms (“paki”) about England’s Arab and Pakistani allies. The contrast in deeds and the response speaks volumes (AP, London, January 10, 2009, “Prince Harry Apologizes”). 

Even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whose protagonists seldom have children, sensed and expressed the spirit of the times through his hero, Sherlock Holmes: “I am one of those who believe that the folly of a monarch and the blundering of a Minister will not prevent our children from being someday citizens of the same world-wide country under a flag which shall be a quartering of the Union Jack with the Stars and Stripes” [6]. Or as Clarence Streit, among others, was to write forty-five years later, Union Now a book discussed appreciatively by Wells in the New World Order.

This introduction by way of a sketch by Israel Eldad of Lord Moyne, high commissioner for Britain in Egypt during most of WW II. Moyne shared the attitudes of Wells, Bailey, Eden, Atlee, Wilkins and many others great and small in the British government but he was in a position to enact directly, to gather the fruits that others helped him sow. It was Moyne who supported random round-ups and detention of Jews in Eretz Yisrael during the shoah and who ordered their deportation to East Africa and nearby islands where conditions often were fatal. He publicly declared that “the White Paper [limiting Jewish immigration to 15,000 a year during the holocaust] is just” and that Jewish immigration, that the British were obligated by international law (pardon the expression) to facilitate “must cease.” While Jews in the millions were being slaughtered by the Germans and their Slavic assistants, thanks to the invaluable help of the British Empire, Moyne saw fit to follow the lies of Wells, Bailey, Lawrence and such by stating that “Palestine is the land of the Arabs. The Jews racially are a mixed breed [perhaps he read too much Wells; or perhaps he, Wells and others were attuned to Houston Stewart Chamberlain]. The Jews of Palestine [sic] must leave the country and [we] will find a place for them in Africa.” Organizer of the Arab League that has greatly affected world events, in recent decades through the UN and oil blackmail, enabled by Western rulers, Moyne considered information about the holocaust to be “attempts [by the Jews} to stir pity with sentimental stories about their situation in Europe” [7]. The British were well informed about the holocaust from the first: already in 1936 their Peel Commission had begun taking testimony about the unprecedented “disaster hanging over the heads of the Jews of Europe” and from the first days of the war the Polish government in exile in London kept them appraised via daily news arriving by diplomatic pouch via Switzerland [8]. General Sikorsky argued for bombing German cities if Polish Jews and citizens were murdered but the British were not interested, — until after most of the Jews had been killed. The death camps were never bombed; for the British they were a ‘two-for’: get rid of the Jews while using their mass murder to justify a “United Nations” that would define, enforce and punish “crimes against humanity” whose meaning has shifted from the implied genocide of the Jews to Jewish attempts to protect itself, however late and little against genocidal attacks. Yes, there is a pattern here.

Modern genetics recently have established that the Jewish people in all places in fact are most closely kin to the Kurds and Armenians. That is, modern bio-genetics has verified the Torah account that the ancestors of the Jewish people dwelt in and came from Charan, what is now the northeastern corner of “Syria” and southeastern Turkey. But the various Aryan supremacists pushing for various forms of a unified world system they would rule, and this includes the bizarre ‘histories’ of “Ariosophists” like Adolf Lanz, Guido List and Karl Maria Wiligut were on a track embedded in Western culture and no history, law, tradition, or science could deter their drive toward world dominion and burial of the Jews [9]. Globalist Lionel Curtis, moving force of the Round Table in his master work, Civitas Dei echoes the Ariosophists bizarre notions that the Greeks and Romans were descended from Aryans. Again, the eugenicist Axis interlinks with Aryan supremacy and destruction of history which always is aimed at disinheriting Jews.

But as noted, obligations, decency, mercy, debts of gratitude (like being enabled to defeat the Turks) and science are nothing before imperial and ‘racial’ arrogance: Moyne and his murderous attitudes are a case in point. Eldad wryly notes that the day after the racist was assassinated in Cairo by two self-sacrificing Jewish patriots (the deed was popular among Egyptians too), Moyne’s deputy commented that he “was the greatest defender of the interest of the British Empire in the Middle East.” There it is in plain view. Eldad frequently discusses how, like “Liberal” Prime Minister Ernest Bevin, “he had a crazy hatred of Jews” his secretary later said, Moyne unintentionally helped strengthen the Jewish resistance and the very belated, partial understanding of the Jews in Israel that the British were an occupying hostile imperial regime to be fought rather than a “misguided” but essentially friendly power whose “better side” was to be sought out and nurtured. The same madness today and for decades affects what is known as the loyal opposition or “responsible” nationalist camp (the Likud, etc) in Israel. Indeed, the gentle Menachem Begin, slandered as a “terrorist” and “Hitlerian” by Israel’s leftwing establishment for decades, and duly echoed to this day by the ignorant, founder of the Irgun which became the Herut and then Likud parties after 1948, condemned the execution of the Jew-hating Moyne as “this tragedy in Cairo.” It was not “honorable” as he often said of finally turning armed force against the British who were de facto allies of the Germans when it came to the Jewish people. Notwithstanding Moyne’s anti-Semitic speeches and policies, the socialist establishment, “the Jewish Agency and Histadrut [Labor Union] leaders” condemned “the despicable crime.” In London, British apologist Chaim Weizmann was outraged, as he so often was by criticism of British actions and motives. Soon enough the enforcement arm of the socialist-collaborating establishment began its own pogrom of kidnap, torture, murder and betrayal to the British of members of the Irgun (“National Military Organization”) and Lehi (“Fighters for the Freedom of Israel”). Not even the example of the Czechs willingness to suffer to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, the head of the Nazi Secret Police at Lidice in 1943 make an impression on the collaborator-ruled Yishuv (Jewish settlement in Israel) but they hurried to seize an excuse to destroy their competition for leadership of the incipient state. As always with “leftists,” power and control came first as the climatic event, the sinking of the arms and soldier-laden ship Altalena in late June 1948 was to show, when Ben Gurion and the young Yitzhak Rabin among others sought to murder Begin and their perceived opponents rather than let them participate in the liberation of Jerusalem and the entire land from the upper Gilead (deep in southern Lebanon) to the Jordan River and “the center of the Sinai” as General Alon later detailed [10].

Eldad describes the psychology, media campaign and some of the brutal methods those who nestled under British skirts and weapons used to crush their fellow Jews. First he explains the mediating, self-serving nature of collaborationist institutions generally: “where would the ‘National Institutions’ be whose very existence is brokerage [between foreign supporters and the hostile British regime]? Brokerage between the capital, the Jewish contributions and the Yishuv that enjoys the capital (and this is why they are  opposed to direct contact between the capital [and its foreign donors] and broker between the [British] government and the Yishuv [the people as a whole]. The very term ‘Yishuv’ came into being this way: a communal, diasporic, anti-sovereign term… The ‘industry’ of informing too must be under ‘national’ (read, Histadrut, enforced by Hagana) monopoly and supervision,” he wrote. The leaders of the armed struggle to free the Jews from the lethal occupation of the British and their blockade of Europe were to be crushed by the British and their subcontractors.

Thus the monster named “Collaboration” was born in the winter of 5705 [1944-45) with an office in the Jewish Agency building in Jerusalem where one man collected all the data, all the lists, passing them straight to the chief of the [British] CID, Arthur Giles …The expected British pogrom [in response to the execution of Moyne] did not come; it was not necessary: the Jews did it… Day after day Izl (Irgun Tzvai Leumi) members were brought into camp [at Latrun] – while Commander Begin issued a call for ‘restraint’ — after they had been kidnapped and tortured by the Hagana.” Eldad explains that few Lehi men were bothered by the Hagana: “they are afraid of you” he reports being told and this is a leitmotif of his book: the uncompromising stance of the Lehi against Britain beginning, late enough, in 1942 led by the courageous and brilliant classics scholar, Avraham Stern inspired respect and fear by emphasizing that the British were a hostile occupying imperial power in the Land of Israel suppressing and complicit in the murder of Jews. Indeed, they often murdered, shot on sight, shot in bed, shot men with arms raised in surrender, hanged and deported Jews to death; shot refugees from Nazi camps on the beaches of the Promised Land [11].  This is the British “ideal of freedom” that will lead and save the world, they say.

Here are heroes and villains aplenty, insightful brave men and fools; but we cannot leave this topic yet without letting Eldad sketch for us the apotheosis of Europe in holocaust: it was not just the Germans and British, though they were the main players, with American refusal to accept refugees (‘no room’) bidding for third place in shame. He and a friend were out for a walk in the Latrun detention camp in the Ayalon valley (the sun stood still for Joshua and David slew Goliath) one night and observed the proximity of a bristling British guard building and tower with a quiet dark Trappist monastery. To Eldad it was a parable that summed up all of Europe and the blinding distinction forever being made by other groups between ‘good’ English and ‘bad’ English:

Those two buildings symbolize exactly what happened to us in Europe. The slaughterers held heir knives and the silent held their tongues. All the good goyim, the English, French, Poles, Russians, even when they were being beaten by the Nazis felt this consolation in their hearts: they are doing our work for us. What we wanted [for fifteen centuries] Hitler is doing…And the Pope, the keeper of mercy and kindness [“Pastor Angelicus” as he had himself promoted and filmed as he walked his gardens holding a lamb] remained silent and the Catholics participated in the slaughter [12]. Finally, their generations-old desire was satisfied…For hundreds of years they had prepared for this revelry over our blood.” 

In this obsession of the West to slaughter Jews, the one constant of its dynamic and unstable history, Eldad reflects on the possibility that the Jews, all of them, regardless of level of observance are “the last religious nation on the earth.” And indeed, as one reads and watches for two centuries the relentless descent of the West into neo-Hellenic pagan excitements and terrors one recognizes the cogency and centrality of the insight. “The West” regresses to its root, sloughs off everything but that with which it began: a pagan hatred of Jews, the idea of an immortal soul and of limits on human behavior, anathema to rulers especially but to the animal in the hearts of almost every person. From this fact Eldad drew the only lesson honoring the Creator and enabling life: “never again like sheep” [13].  

Of this process and its details, this dark forest and its many trees we have written books, detailing the trees and sketching the forest, and are in process of writing another. Here we will mention one more group of fools or, as Eldad described them, “the monster of ‘Collaboration’” and one great hero; if he were living today, or had lived into the 1940s our world would be a much more abundant, peaceful and honest place.

The fools, the Hagana and its controlling civilian institutions, headed by Ben Gurion and Weizmann never would believe or act so that “the plan for a Jewish state would do away with British rule” in the Promised Land. This was the vision of Lord Milner: a British protectorate that “would never be a Jewish State” [14]. “On the contrary, they believed and acted to suit, Israel would be a British protectorate, much as it for decades has been an Anglo-American protectorate and whipping boy, a doer of the dirty jobs and always blamed for it; its people segregated and barred from the most beautiful and holy parts of their land. Eldad notes the irony that “many Hagana members lost their lives only because, following orders, they refrained from shooting at the British who were guarding the objects they had been ordered to blow up” [15]. Such was their commitment to Israel as a British protectorate, to the vision of Milner et al. 

The portrait of the ‘good’ Englishman, Latrun Commander Captain Clough who, when in his cups, could raise the toast, “next year in Jerusalem” (did he mean in a camp in Jerusalem? When the British commander at Akko fortress refused to hang a group of Jews, Clough was brought in and promptly carried out the deed) is one of scores of vivid, unforgettable analytic portraits that are as deeply felt as they are incisive. The reverent love of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak HaKohen Kook is here as are portraits of many shades of official Rabbis, pompous, formally solicitous, arrogant, establishment punitive, and sublime, this being Eldad’s memories of Rav Aryeh Levin “who was forced to endure seven humiliations and seventy-seven insults before being granted permission to visit [the prisoners] in Latrun.” Rabbi Levin whom Eldad, in loving esteem calls simply, the Rebbe came with no secretaries, no guards, sword or attendants but just with all his heart and sympathetic eyes, remembering every request, bringing astounding amounts of news and greetings to every man. He could uncover, as Chassidim believe and Eldad relates, the hidden spark of holiness and divinity in everyman, with his genuine admiration and love for them; with every word purposeful, thoughtful and from the heart. “Even a blind man could see the Divine Presence accompanying Reb Aryeh. He brought only his heart…No one can lie to Reb Aryeh; no one needs to… no shell, no matter how thick can withstand him…” When he would recite the simple afternoon service and its eighteen blessings, when he would sing the phrase, “’restore our judges as at first,’ every word in its simplicity one would drink the words… he knows how to hint at matters of concern for us: at an edict issues, a battle fought, of those who fell, of the hanged. Reb Aryeh lives all these matters; he is one of us…

“When time comes [for him] to leave, he finds it difficult to part. ‘I envy you,’ he promises and repeats: ‘I envy you. For you have the great privilege of actually suffering for Israel, while I, what am I? I can only share your suffering. Your privilege is greater than mine.’ When he leaves he looks back repeatedly and says: ‘God’s salvation is as quick as the blink of an eye, as the blinking of an eye.’” Eldad comments, “It is good to be a Jew if there are Jews like this. Then he lovingly describes a great teacher, Chaim Hanani, a quietly heroic man, wrongly imprisoned, eventually deported but who spent his days at Latrun teaching Eldad to appreciate modern physics [16].

There is so much more; and because Lehi did not win, because the gentle, restrained Begin refused the chance of civil war no matter how often and fiercely “the monster” sought to kill him and those committed to fighting the land and being sovereign and eventually was brought, tamed into its corral, against his best instincts and deeds, doing its work. And because of a million-million such choices today Israel’s current monster announces a unilateral ceasefire, preparing to serve England and its affiliated powers by handing the “strip” over to Fatah, in due course and submitting itself within the Arab Federation of which Milner and so many others spoke, itself a link in a web of chains of duplicity, attrition, finance, disease and impoverishment. And because Lehi did not win, the Jews of Gush Katif were few and not many, surrounded by Arabs on the “welfare” of the “world community,” as in Judea and Samaria from which Jews also are expected to depart, again. And because Lehi and its spirit was buried by “the monster” Gilad Shalit has been held unseen by Hamas for thirty months, the “humanitarian” institutions of the world unwilling to make an issue of his life; for after all, he’s a Jew and pity is reserved for the Arabs that support, assist and applaud the genocidal goal of Hamas which the powers, in due course will blunt, once Israel, using Jewish life, has been broken again by the impossible task given it as if in a brutal joke. Its correlative is the saga of Shalit.

The evil kingdom is alive and well; the unstable Esau has drawn what is worst in Ishmael into his insatiable designs of murder and power. It will continue until “the West” destroys itself in the gleaming sterile phase of hi-tech global feudalism into which its hubris drives it. When it dissolves of its own morbidity, the root of Israel again will rise from the ruins and flourish.

Shmuel Katz, the Aaronsohn Saga (Jerusalem 2000; English translation, 2007), 210 recorded in February 1917; American scientists David Fairchild and Walter Swingle joined European colleagues in their esteem for Aaronsohn’s expertise in the sciences, offered him the chairmanship, arranged extensive lecturing tours in which he explained dry land farming across the Western United States and that he head an American Agricultural Station at Zichron Ya’akov ten miles south of Haifa beginning 1910. Aaronsohn, his sister, and group of friends in the Promised Land enabled the British to overcome the blundering and provided the logistics, maps, strategy and troops for finally defeating the Turks and Germans beginning October 30, 1917 at Beersheba. The British perfidy that followed, including their invaluable assistance in facilitating the holocaust makes their ingratitude and arrogance one of the most striking aspects of modern or perhaps any Western history. Britain was the first European nation to expel Jews en masse (1290); the site of the first genocidal libels that Jews use the blood of gentile babies for Matzoth (1142); and provides the cutting edge of the Anglo-Vatican group called the “Quartet” (America, Russia, the EU and UN, the British, like Rome are cunningly absent on the surface) to effect, through surrogates the destruction of Jewish sovereignty and expulsion of Jews from the heartland and holiest sites of Judaism.

John Cornwell, Hitler’s Pope (NY 1999) abundantly documents with archival records, letters, minutes official church media articles and more the complicity of Eugenio Pacelli in the holocaust, his hatred of Jews; it also, surprisingly, shows that he had an important role not only in beginning the slide toward WW II but did something similar to undermine the Austrians via the Serbs in 1914. The Vatican was willing to wait 75 years to take down the Serbs if they could undermine a Catholic Empire and make themselves the sole court of appeal for Catholics worldwide. Carroll Quigley, The Anglo-American Establishment (NY 1981), 172, quoting a speech of Milner to the House of Lords, June 27, 1923 a year after the British had by administrative fiat (“white paper”) severed the lands east of the Jordan River (77% of the total) from the Jewish National Home. Milner spoke of his eagerness to realize “an Arab Federation” which only the intransigence and aroused blood-lust of the Arabs has hindered to this day.
