Prophet, Hater, Crisis
We will postpone speaking of a prominent media hater of Jews to speak of a great prophet and lover of the Jewish people, someone whose courage matched his brilliance and whose realized vision would bring the world “community” the peace it claims to desire.
That first Passover four English goyim stood guard at the Kotel, their laughing faces reflecting our degradation; Arab filth above, the Kotel deep below the impudent expansive mocking Mosque.
The cluster of confused, crushed Jews in tallit crouched against the stones; behind them Arab pollution; to their side, four goyim from a distant island, above a magnificent Ishmaelite Temple….all our shame comes together here. The Kotel absorbs the weeping of all the exiles, the human weeping and the divine weeping.
Thus a great hero and thinker of Israel’s crippled rebirth describes his first visit to the Kotel in spring 1941 after a difficult voyage from Vilna filled with the miracles of human bravery and goodness. And he had more to say in words, like almost everything he wrote, that reverberate to this day. “What if,” filled with these tears of millennia, “the Kotel were to move, [what] then? The river of tears will burst forth and flow above us, rolling in waves of anger over this whole Yishuv that endures the shame of the armed British and the filthy Arabs so near the stones. And we will all drown…”
Thus spoke Israel Eldad (born Sheib), master of literature, philosophy, Hebrew and Torah, writer and planner for Lehi (“Fighters for the Freedom of Israel”). And because he was a prophet, he had more to say on the shamed condition of Israel then, so like this very day, words of hope and inspiration:
“Seeing the degradation of the Jewish people in their land, perhaps the Kotel will move otherwise, with mercy. Behold descending the steps [to the Plaza] Yehuda HaLevi, the Baal Shem tov, and there – Herzl, singing the song of Shulamith… Move Kotel, to drown or to crown, anything but this shame, this repulsive position between goyim and mules” [1].
Eldad was tormented that Jews enlisted and were encouraged to enlist in the armies of England and its “Commonwealth” of Nations, its nascent world state sought with such avid success by Milner, Lionel Curtis, Philip Kerr (“Lord Lothian” the enemy of national sovereignty whom Jabotinsky, or his biographer, thought was a friend); that Jews enlisted in this game not only at the urging of the client Jewish leadership of the Yishuv, “the Jewish Agency and the Mapai…they were always sold and loyal to the foreigners”; this did not surprise him. But that the Etzel (Irgun Tzvai Leumi, “National Military Organization”) not only had their own recruitment and enlistment centers and boasted of how many Jews they brought into the army of the empire complicit in the holocaust, the occupier and crusher of the struggle for Jewish restoration and independence this was the worst kind of misplaced or ignorant “honor” (the Betar concept of Hadar popularized by Jabotinsky) and chivalry [2].
“A crown is meaningful on a head,” Eldad wrote. “A crown in itself or in the wrong place is meaningless.” And seeing Begin’s delay in stripping off his Polish Army uniform and joining the fight for Israel, for its identity, health and ingathering, he wrote, “I saw Hadar perverted. And I saw the danger of detaching moral values from concrete reality, of apologizing for the blood of British soldiers ruling the land, suppressing Jews, raiding their farms, confiscating their arms to prepare for the next Arab-led bloodbath. I saw Begin “caught in the thicket of his honor” as he was in 1948 and at Camp David.
We are familiar with prisoner exchanges in which Israel releases hundreds or a thousand would-be or actual murderers of Jews as a goodwill gesture or in exchange for the bodies of murdered Jews. Eldad saw it all put in place by a leadership owned by and fronting for the powers that keep Israel degraded, bleeding, confused and weak. “For every Jew pardoned, ten Arab killers were also pardoned. There were many arms-searches, and they were degrading. There were many arms-trials, and they were degrading. Lord Moyne and High Commissioner MacMichael had been appointed, after all, not only to implement British White Paper policy but to help the Arabs finish Hitler’s work.” Moreover, in even more prophetic words, “under the guise of philanthropy, America must seek oil and influence in the Middle East as well as Jewish votes in elections back home. [So] a slaughter must be prepared here [in Eretz Yisrael]. The slaughter of Jews called ‘disturbances’ [now called “the cycle of violence in the region”] must become more serious.” Who taught the Arabs to claim the Jews had no connection to the Temple Mount, to Israel their ancient homeland, were not even a nation: “Lord Moyne delivers an address in which he proves, ‘scientifically’ that the Jews are not even a nation” taking a page from the proto-Nazi tome of Houston Stewart Chamberlain [3]. As in the Midrash, Esau seduces and uses Ishmael.
And if Rommel would have chased the British from the Middle East, than the Hagana and Palmach, the tools of the socialist flunkies of the British, the agencies that rule, degrade and deform Israel to this day “then the Jews would fight the rearguard action for their masters while their leaders gladly fly out at the last instant” [4]. Seventy planes in fact were ready in 1942 for the establishment leaders, two allotted to the “loyal opposition,” Etzel – Irgun forerunner of the Likud who vied to enlist more troops to serve their British, now their American masters wh ordered them to expel the Jews of Gush Katif and created the current planned crisis.
Nothing has changed except that Israel no longer has men of the stature, eloquence and heart of Yisrael Eldad. Listen to him speak of the Torah paradigm of integrated Jewish nationhood, of a Constitutional Monarchy not a “parliament” with “politics” and a “Prime Minister” or President and enormous governmental apparatus like Esau has: the modern Israel whose Hellenized rulers have “spurned their birthright.”
I have written scores of essays on the disintegration of Western Civilization and scores more, and two books relating this suicide to the West’s original sin, its theft of the identity of Israel, its consequent angry guilt and genocidal rage against the Jews. Eldad with his knowledge of the Humanities as well as Torah saw this connection sixty and more years ago when he spoke of the Jewish “Idea” that alone could precipitate genuine independence, renewal and flourishing of a great people whose greatness was in the history and founding document, in the structure of creation.
The Idea is the messianic idea, the idea of the rise of a Hebrew Kingdom, rising historically at this period of crisis for all that is called Western Culture which includes Greek, Roman, Christian, Renaissance, Democratic culture and Communism…The idea is that out of the ruins of this world we must climb again to the spiritual heights of Mt. Sinai and the physical peaks of David and the Hasmoneans…
And Eldad emphasizes that this Idea of restoration cannot center on merely providing a haven for Jews, necessary as that is (“rescuing people is not an ideology”) or even on conquering land (necessary as that is) but “a Liberation Movement whose aim is the establishment of a Hebrew Kingdom” and Jewish sovereignty and the repudiation of any claims to dictate to the Jewish people about their land from the sea of reeds to the great river, the Euphrates River. “The British Government is a foreign government” that is the point that must be repudiated, “even if it be a ‘good’ government”; or if it be America, or the “Quartet” or whomever else but the Jewish people, guided by Torah and the steady integration of their unique gifts who decide on reconstruction of the entire Land of Israel [5].
You must get The First Tithe if you wish to know what Israel could have been, already in the 1940s, certainly by 1948, why and how it struggles since then, and what it yet could be.
Meanwhile we consider briefly one of the foreign dogs, part of the media wolf pack that has grown up on great power-crafted lies, and ignorance about Israel and Jewish history and who has sucked in contempt and hatred for Jews with its mother’s milk which ultimately is the milk of the she wolf, “appetite, the universal wolf” with its insatiable lust to consume and rule the world until “chaos follows the choking” [6].
In the Boston Globe, one of the properties of the New York Times, one of their regular pundits was frothing at the mouth in print recently about Israel’s belated and minimal incursion into Gerar (“the Gaza strip,” a historical anomaly created by the Egyptian invasion of 1948 and seizure of this bit of land from Israel). This fellow is one of the true believing idiots of the Malthusian globalists who see Jews as inferior, rooted in an ethic of abundance, and bound to a national-religious sovereignty all of which are anathema to their plans for a depopulated, neo-Feudal planet. With Israel finally retaliating to suppress the murderous terror, funded by the decadent West emanating from “the Strip” it could have annexed and filled with prosperous farms in 1948 [7] this person wrote that “Israel was making heroes of Hamas” when it is his own profession that has been doing that, to the State Department and Quartet tune for decades. “Gaza is just a part of Palestine” he writes with the ignorance of the pampered court jester, “that for forty years has been trying to get Israel off its back” [8]. With the murder of Jews that emanated from Gaza for centuries before that, and relentlessly from the 1940s he in unconcerned; don’t bother him with facts. “Sure, Gazans will take help where they can get it” he explains in what passes in his paper for ‘common sense’ thus making light of the fact that Gaza has become a base for Iran as has the Lebanon, via Syria, and Iranian satellite and client, another of the artificial states created by the dying western powers with which they encircled the truly ancient and historical state of Israel.
“Gaza’s crime… was voting for Hamas” he writes sarcastically, defending “democracy” and meaning to make Israel and the Bush administration seem vindictive. Actually, the fact that Arabs in the area voted for Hamas and shelter them and their rockets makes them liable under international law, for what that is worth. They are not the “innocent civilians” about which the media of the self-styled ‘civilized nations’ are forever burbling but accomplices and supporters of a regime that explicitly states its intention to destroy Israel and to slaughter Jews. And that goes for the entire cult that has as one of its central pillars the humiliation and slaughter of Jews.
And meanwhile the Jews feed, send electricity and water to those who for centuries attack to slaughter them, and the demoniac world screams “disproportionate response.” Note, when Arabs attacked British troops the Brits used the Arabs as human mine-sweepers. But this history is beyond the programmed pc raving of ‘serious media.’
No matter how appeasement minded, no matter how many Jewish towns and homes the Israeli client regime demolishes, no matter how many thousands of rockets Israel absorbs with the destruction of lives and any chance for peace, hate-filled monomaniacs like that hater can write that “Israel has a blind faith in the efficacy of military force” [9]. If only it did; if only it had unleashed and imposed its military force even in 1948 and again, if needed, — and it might not have been – in 1967 there would be genuine peace instead of a “peace process” of endless attrition in the Middle East today. But the powers clearly do not want peace or prosperity, they want control and ignorant haters like the pundit help to sell the lies that lead to their depopulated neo-feudal world. He even presents Israel’s pinpoint, limited strikes and tiny 2-km incursion into, barely into southern Lebanon in 2006, after weeks of indiscriminate shelling of towns, farms, forests, and cities by Hezbollah as “the same old Middle-East tit for tat.” If you want to get rich just stifle your conscience and intelligence and you can regurgitate this kind of drivel on the pages of a “responsible” newspaper.
From the dreams and analysis of Eldad to the slander and madness of the media we return to the crises of today. The minimal, belated and overly careful “operation Cast Lead” is meant to return Gaza to Fatah, sister gang of Hamas, both largely created, armed and funded by the West and their radical Ishmaelite utensils. This is a war for Fatah. It also may be part of an Israeli strike, no doubt ordered by Washington, on the regime in Iran that the “humanitarian world community” has helped acquire long range ballistic missiles and fissionable material. The client regime will do this job for the Quartet (that really is a Quintet, or Sestet, with Mr. Blair representing, the British Commonwealth, the Vatican which he now unofficially represents and the global “Abrahamic” religion he promotes through his “Faith Foundation.” Israel will strike leading to a regime change headed by “Alliance for Civilization” head Ali Khatamei; Israel will be condemned, Jew-hatred will be whipped to fever-pitch; Iran will be included in the Greater Middle East region, interlocked with Eurabia via the Mediterranean Union and Israel will pay by expelling the Jews from all or most of Judea and Samaria (and Judaism’s holiest sites) and giving this land to NATO to patrol on behalf of the virtual “Palestinians” whose constant atrocities will require constantly increasing security measures, tried there then brought here. Just as in the 1940s, a servile and anti-Jewish client regime will do the powers bidding and be sacrificed to the wolves for its self-negating turning to “foreign lovers” when it should turn “to the rock from which it was hewn” and its eternal covenant.
That is the ugly present that the “herd of independent minds” and haters sell everyday on their virtual reality media madhouse while the horror movies strive to keep pace in their savagery and violence with what the world’s Great Barons are doing in geopolitics.
As for those foreigners, whatever helmets and insignia they wear, German, French, EU, UN or even American who march around the Promised Land under various arrangements for “peace” they are guilty of suppressing and degrading the Jewish people in their land. They are imperial colonialists and should refuse this culpable service. Yisrael Eldad had this to say of the British soldiers who beat, oppressed, jailed, shot, refused to protect Jews and destroyed Jewish sovereignty in the 1940s: “they are no longer safe on our streets. They no longer strut like landlords.” That they were able to do so for so long when it was only with the assistance, military and intelligence of Israeli Jews that they were, after several failures able to drive the Turks from the Promised Land was because of “a complacent and satiated Yishuv” whose sin was atoned for by the Jews of Europe a corrupt leadership had little interest in rescuing from out of the grasp of the powers who now dictate humanity to Jews.
But the soldiers who occupy Israel, whether they are in Gerar where Isaac spent most of his life, on the artificial border that separates modern Israel from its inheritance in the Lebanon; off the waters like the German navy; protecting the artificial State of “Jordan” (the Gilead, etc) torn out of Israel by Britain in 1922; ruining what Israel built and again will build in a Sinai peninsula that again is Jewish, to quote Eldad, are “guilty, just as every German soldier in France, Norway or any other occupied country was guilty.” These EU-NATO forces that are preparing to occupy more of the Promised Land while pretending to “give it” to alien Arabs, imperialists themselves, some of the most vicious and destructive the world has ever suffered are more dangerous for being less obviously vicious than the Germans. But their purpose and that of their rulers who exploit them is the same: “to blot out Israel from nationhood so its name will not be remembered” except as a joke, a term of opprobrium, a mocking aside or footnote in increasingly dumbed-down history books.
“My heart, — it’s a miracle it doesn’t burst” [10]. Yet in dismantling itself to make way for a world state that will reduce and manage its human inventory the West is obsessively following prophecies articulated long before Eldad was born and that we watch unfolding before our eyes. The fourth beast and its mad riders will be utterly destroyed; the branch that attacks its root will wither and die and from the stock of Yishai a re-born Israel will flourish.
