The Wheel Will Come Full Circle
In the long last act of Shakespeare’s King Lear, divine providence is invoked and demonstrated, as in most of Shakespeare’s greatest plays. A vicious, treacherous brother, whose power lust “disdains and spurns all rules of war,” morality and nobility finally is confronted by his brother Edgar, the true heir he had homicidally slandered and whose position, inheritance and name he had robbed. But the firstborn, legitimate son returns to assert his name, title and inheritance all of which he has earned by the faithful service he has done his father through a long dark night of persecution and assaults. When the usurper is slain in a duel at the very end of all events, he confesses that his punishment is just and that “the wheel comes full circle” (V.i.176).
One thinks of the chapter of Ovadiah regarding the final judgment and destruction of Esau by Jacob, the wholesome brother he has mocked, robbed and all but crushed.
The same process is being worked out in the war on terror, not least as it relates to Israel and the Jewish people. Israel has been crushed into the mud; slandered, condemned, robbed and stripped, like Edgar, “brought near to beast” by poverty and affliction. In exile Israel often looks like a mad beggar or a hunger artist, shamed and pillaged by the merciless nations. But neither the logic of history nor the consequences of deeds are forgotten before the Throne; the truth will unfold. Accounts will be squared: “all friends shall taste the wages of their virtue and the evil drink the cup of their deserving” (KL 305-06); unfortunately, as in King Lear, many people who are guilty of no more than naiveté or ignorance are crushed in the meantime. This is the most terrible aspect of evil, — that not only the evil and their abettors suffer for their willful sins.
Here is a reminder and some timely epitomes of this fact. In 1986, Israel jailed a murdering jihadist and Jew-killer. Seven years, during the Oslo accords euphoria, the Clinton administration pressured Israel to release the killer, Mohammed Atta as part of a ‘reconciliation’ process with irreconcilable and genocidal enemies. The bus bomber was released and eight years later he flew a large plane into the WTC.
A similar pattern of lethal duplicity and unintended (?) payback resulted in the CIA’s use of al Qaeda operative Sayeed al Noseir to murder Rabbi Meir Kahane in Manhattan in 1990. The establishment covered up the crime’s background, Noseir copped a minor plea so three years later he was free and collaborated with the cell of the blind sheik in the first bombing of the WTC.
This is one of the reasons western diplomats (Edom) and jihadists (Ishmael) both are so fond of “prisoner exchanges”: Jews are murdered, Israel is humiliated and stripped of deterrence, and crises sprout throughout the world. Israel’s name and history is lost and a usurper, a non-nation and vile people, “Palestinians” are shoved into Israel’s place. Key players in the “International Solidarity Movement,” like Finland, whose trespassers and inciters pose with Hizballah for photos with automatic weapons, recognize the Hamas ‘government’ and insist that it’s “time to move to the next round” of the elimination of Israel.
Chalk up the Mohammed Atta episode and its consequences to the State Department, its Intelligence Agency, and all high officials in the Clinton administrations which often used the “Reichstag fire” technique to maximize terror and then increase government power as the ostensible antidote, — when it was a major trigger of the disease. The American people and their wonderful republic have borne the cost of these ‘Reichstag fires’ at Waco in spring 1993, Clinton’s first major initiative and test of major media’s servility to the state; two years later at the Murrah building in Oklahoma City, an atrocity used to vilify and marginalize critics of Pharaonic government (see the invaluable study by Jayna Davis, The Third Terrorist); in the downing of TWA fight 800 and subsequent, ongoing cover-up (Cashill and Sanders, First Strike, 2003); the bombing of the USS Cole and 9/11 itself – all these nightmares for America result from western diplomatic-intelligence groups’ alignment with those striving to blot out the name and memory of Israel. Because of the Camp David and Oslo Accords that the American establishment pressed upon Israel, – with, in the case of Madrid-Oslo the fervent assistance of ‘post-Zionist’ internationalists in Israel’s diplomatic service — Americans sadly will continue to suffer the consequences of what its perennial Globalist establishment has been doing to the Jewish people for sixty+ years, continuing the assault on the Jews dating to Antiochus and then the Roman Empire.
In the course of playing this dirty game, the British groups that rule and have destroyed that once great nation have again, though America’s diplomatic establishment, colonized America.
The wheel will come full circle. Homeland Security, targeting and paralyzing Americans rather than their jihadist enemies reflects the multi-layered treacheries and lies that constitute the “War on Terror.” Just as the armed forces of Israel are ham strung and their victories reversed or interdicted diplomatically, so are those of brave American troops during the same post-World War II period… Just as Israel is the prime target of the internationalist grand-gamers, so dear and good America, the America of the Constitution is these gamers’ tool and also their target.
The actions of the EU and State Department are useful markers of this pattern with their tool, the UN reliably attacking America and Israel. The UN charter forbids threats (or actions) to annihilate a member state. But Islamic states, like Iran, repeatedly proclaim their intention of destroying Israel openly or indirectly (“Israel has no right to exist,” etc). So these states should be expelled from the UN; the US and Israel, at last, should withdraw from it. Its diplomats should be expelled from NYC. Instead Ahmadinejad visits NY and will address the UN General Assembly. Former head of State, Colin Powell, a political General, criticizes President Bush for not giving the ‘12th Imam’ equal time by debating the lunatic. At the same time, EU Foreign Minister Javier Solana argues that Iran should be given yet another extension of the UN deadline re its uranium enrichment program (the first deadline was July 12 when Iran activated Hizballah to attack Israel. The second ‘deadline’ was August 31. The actual deadline is when Iran strikes Israel). Then the world will find a “solution…”
Failing to thrust the UN from American soil and to put the EU on the enemies’ list comes back repeatedly to damage America and Israel; so does failure to scour out the quislings at the State Department and in the Israeli Foreign Ministry…
Thus a similar process may be seen in the recent resignations, indictments of top officials and general turmoil throughout Israel’s perennial establishment in the weeks since the fiasco in the Lebanon. It was clear that relentless diplomatic pressure (via the media) from the EU, UN, and less overtly from the State Department put a chokehold on Israel’s military. Numerous soldiers died, Israelis fled or lived in shelters, and the nation’s deterrence was impaired because instead of fighting for victory and redemption of all the land, the key goals of the conflict were, 1) to create and solidify the fiction termed “Lebanon” and 2) to save the face of the expulsion regime of Peres-Olmert-Halutz and Peretz. The first goal was largely achieved, as the Euro-Islamic presence in the Lebanon, behind the UN’s fig leaf, shows. With poetic justice / divine providence the second goal remains elusive because of the very ‘land-phobia’ instilled by “peace process” propaganda itself.
Thus, as inevitably happens in the attempt to sustain lies built upon lies upon lies, it requires more and more force and fraud to keep the artifice intact. It will not last; but in the interim and until the contraption is brought down, many decent people’s lives will be lost or shattered as part of the consequences. The world has order; this is part of its justice and its mercy. From a divine perspective, the suffering caused by a regime of lies is a revelation, a teaching and a prompt to redemptive deeds; repeated calls to awake before it’s too late. The matter of Cozbi and Zimri was resolved by Pinchas which earned him the rights to the everlasting covenant of peace (Numbers 25).
What a great triumph of dramatic irony and providential justice it would be to see jihadists take down that edifice of inflated arrogance called “the Arc de Triomphe.”
Until the lies behind the “war on terror” and the methods and purposes of terror are exposed, the innocent, the good (like Cordelia in Lear) and ordinary people will continue to suffer for the bad faith and cruelties of the wicked powers. With Rosh Hashanah and the impending Jewish New Year that commemorates the creation of humankind, perhaps the shofar’s call will awaken the nation of Israel and the world to a thorough house-cleaning, to put an end to jihad and the Machiavellian imperial internationalism of the diplomatic establishments of the powers that facilitate it.
This evil axis is bringing on the “day of vengeance” by thwarting the righteousness and praise of Israel from sprouting in the face of the nations; the leaders of Edom are bringing war, not peace, to the world. The grapes of wrath are here…
