Hopefully no sober person still thinks there was anything strange about the obtuse and suicidal behavior of Pharaoh as described in Exodus 1-14. So many discussions and commentaries have wondered how any person could be so persistently blind and self-destructive as he was. But arrogance is a form of madness that has not gone out of style. And it never will until the reign of Mashiach has been in place long enough for its beams to permeate and reinvigorate the ruins of the entropy that now passes for civilization.

It should surprise no one that, while the nations, including the United States (date this from Evian in 1938; see David S. Wyman’s The Abandonment of the Jews: America and the Holocaust) have sought to smother Israel as it reclaims its heritage, western civilization has been going right down the toilet. Pushing it along has been its Jew-bashing tool, jihad. Down go Edom and Ishmael and neither has any intention of stopping short of that great cesspool called Hell. Can’t they get a clue? Or is it that the ride intoxicates them so much that there seems no option but to continue?

They claim to believe in the Master and Maker of the Universe. But He stated repeatedly that He would bless those who bless Israel and that those who curse Israel, He would curse and afflict. So all those pushing Israel toward oblivion are functionally atheists not unlike Pharaoh who said, “I do not know any Eternal One… the river is my own, I made it!”

The nations have been parlaying Jewish land-for-hollow promises of peace ever since the League of Nations gave a Mandate to Britain to establish a Jewish national home in what today is “Jordan” and Israel (including Arab-occupied central Israel). First Britain removed the Gilead and Bashan from the Jewish national home and then the Peel commission (1937-8) proposed removing most of the remainder. The UN’s partition plan in 1947 was nearly as punitive a theft of ancient Jewish land as was Peel; then, Jewish civilians were murdered in hundreds between 1948 and 1967, all the “world community” could think of doing was to push Israel out of the Sinai, arm the Arabs and stand by and watch while Egypt, Syria and Jordan tried again to push Israel into the sea, proclaiming their genocidal intentions all the while.

Since the six-day war in 1967, the leaders of the nations have funded and encouraged the Hellenists within Israel to alienate the heartland of Israel, to again surrender the Sinai and Golan, and above all to vilify Jews who strive to settle the Jewish heartland. Now the “premium” of the great Camp David Peace Agreements has been decisively and completely annulled as Egypt rushes back into the Gaza area which it seized in 1948 and watches as Hamas rampages in the ruins of Jewish towns. The Oslo process, dear to Hellenists within and without Israel is meant to permanently sever Judaism’s holiest sites from Israel.

G-d Almighty said there would be a price for such perfidy against His people, the people who are “His portion” and “the measure of His inheritance” on earth (Deut 32:8). Britain has destroyed itself with socialism, multi-culturalism and debauchery from the time its Foreign Ministry began its war on the Jewish homeland and people. Europe has had Communism, Nazism, and decadence over-the-top. Having abolished distinctions between legitimacy and illegitimacy, pursuing comfort at all costs, they are infested and inflicted by increasingly aggressive Islam. Very sadly, America has had similar symptoms since the 1930’s (the welfare state and its war on the family, especially fatherhood) with the disease becoming particularly severe since the “land for peace” scheme became perennial Federal policy in 1968-9: It’s the Age of Aquarius: “Gimme shelter!”

Pharaoh was not unique but typical. Today’s rulers don’t believe or care and won’t stop their attempts to blot out the name and memory of Israel. The powers are in love with death, and intend to base their ever-increasing and arbitrary force and fraud on destroying and impoverishing their own nations, the better to rule over their peoples. There are to be no more true citizens but rather consumer-peons, clients and “patients.” Thus they do not seek to stop but rather encourage family breakdown (divorce, abortion), perversion, massive illegal immigration, terrorism, and all the medical, educational, social, economic, and military nightmares these entail. They seem to believe that drugs, legal and illegal, gambling, sports, pornography and economic hustling will paper over the fault lines. The New World Order, its facets described from various perspectives by Huxley, Orwell, and Kundera are largely in place.

It’s gotten so bad that the media make excuses for mass burning of synagogues and even blame Israel for ‘making’ the Arabs do it. Kind of like the Jews ‘made’ the Europeans do it all those centuries. In promoting these rationales and excuses, the media essentially are blaming Jews for the holocaust. No wonder Hollywood is in love with the jihadists who will cut their throats…

Today’s sons of the rulers indeed are more crazed then Pharaoh who did not consciously hate and intend to ruin his country the better to tyrannize it; he just hated Jews and believed in nothing but his own authority. Today’s powers know that taking down Israel will leave their own nations open to increased terror attacks and will destroy the roots and legitimacy of their own cultures. That’s what they want; plus, they get to enjoy the spectacle of stomping on Jews: that’s all that’s left of their culture of “mercy” that from the first was based on slandering, pillaging and murdering Jews.

So whether it’s AIDS, cattle and bird diseases, other pandemics, jihad, ‘natural disasters” (a.k.a., “etzba Eloh-m“) the powers will continue to push Israel toward the pit, helped along by the vulture Hellenists who also would like to see all synagogues, kippot, and Jewish holy sites disappear. They do not want to learn. They do not want to see the big picture so the Master and Maker of the universe will keep pushing the big picture ever closer into their, and, sadly, into our faces.

No, Pharaoh was not unique but typical. And once Dubya has done his job and destroyed the Republican Party and principles as Ariel Sharon has destroyed the Likud, Ms. Rodham – Clinton, — “the human statue of Liberty” — will move in to pick up the pieces, break America completely and cobble together a world state. The world will be filled with Hamas (Genesis 6; Psalm 74) and its new Tower of Babble will rise giddily higher and higher until…………

The only way out of this dead-end is via Jewish sovereignty and redemption of all ancient Jewish lands in and around Israel. When the big crash comes, that’s all that will be left. Just like after a terrible storm, all the branches will be down, but world culture will grow back from its divinely-implanted root: the Jewish people, G-d’s vineyard, on their, and His, land.
